🔍 Car stories
This is the story of the Luigi Racing Ford Sierra RS500 group A (# LR 1388) that raced in the 1988 European Touring Car Championship. Thierry Tassin, Jean-Claude Andruet, Romain Feilter and Georges Cremer campaigned it at the Nurburgring, Dijon, Spa 24 hours, Zolder EG Trophy and the Silverstone Tourist Trophy. The Zolder round would be the (only) highlight of the season with an unexpected P3 thanks to rainy weather and an inspired drive by Tassin. For the 1989 season, LR1388 took part in the Portuguese touring car championship with longtime Luigi customer, Christian Melville before Luigi sold the car to an Italian collector in April 1991.

🔍 Car stories
This is the story of the 1977 Zakspeed Ford Escort RS1800 group 2 (# zak g2 004/77) that Dieter Quester raced at the 1978 Macau Guia Race with this famous Marlboro livery. Quester and his teammate Heyer were so fast that suspicion came up and the scrutineers rechecked the cars. That didn't calm the opposition, and Yanagida pushed Quester into the barrier at the final practice. The Zakspeed Team was lucky that Jackie Stewart had crashed his Escort of the "Race of Giants" so they could use body parts to rebuild the front of Quester's car. It all came to nothing since a puncture in the race moved him into the barriers once again after a fine demonstration with this teammate Heyer. The Escort was then rebuilt at the workshop in Niederzissen and prepared for Herbert Stenger - the freshly crowned group 1 European Hillclimb champion. Ford Motorsport Köln backed the effort for the 1979 season, and Stenger rewarded them with a title in the German Hillclimb championship. Stenger also nearly missed the crown in the European Hillclimb championship.
🔍 Car stories
This is the story of the Ford Mustang group A built by CC Racing in 1982 for Vince Woodman. The car had great potential but didn’t fit with the Ford marketing strategy. It has raced in the European Touring Car Championship in 1983/1984 (RAC Tourist Trophy, Spa 24 Hours, Donington 500, EG Trophy) with V. Woodman, J. Buncombe, J-M. Martin, P. Martin, G. Spice, P. Belmondo, etc.). It has also raced for 3 years (1985/86/87) in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft and for 2 years (1988/89) in the Dutch Touring Car Championship.
🔍 Car stories
This is the story of the Ford Sierra RS 500 group A built by the CMS Sweden Team in 1988 from and Andy Rouse kit. It’s probably the one RS500 that had been raced in period in most countries over the globe. It has raced in the FIA European Touring Car Championship (RAC Tourist Trophy, Nogaro), the FIA Asia-Pacific Touring Car Championship (Bathurst 1000, Wellington 500, Pukekohe 500), the Japanese Touring Car Championship (Fuji Inter-Tec 500), the Swedish Touring Car Championship, the Kemora 500 in Finland, the Guia Race in Macau, etc.
